Green Innovation and Entrepreneurship Industry and Civil Sector Dissemination Event


The Post-2015 Development Agenda includes Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), rather than Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as it used to be before. This event aims to highlight the importance of education for sustainable development and its relation to the post-2015 development goals. Moreover, building connections with key government and industry players (extend network) to spread the education for sustainable development concept.


To ensure participation of all stakeholders a participatory approach is proposed using an engaging forum where the participants can share and be exposed to various thoughts and views in a manner that enables participation and fruitful conversation.

  • Highlight the importance of education for sustainable development and its relation to the post-2015 development goals.

  • Bringing together the diversity of various stakeholders within the Green Innovation and Entrepreneurship sector by engaging them in a process/conversation that explores their different perspectives and insights

The event will run in a workshop format where participants will be encouraged to connect with one another and form potential collaborations in the areas of green innovation and entrepreneurship and education for sustainable development.

Moderators will lead the conversations in a manner that allows fruitful results and inclusiveness.

 Learning by Doing: The Power of Experiential Learning in Management Education

A one-day summit coinciding with the American University in Cairo’s 21st Annual Research Conference, MENA Region: Post-2015 Development Agenda – March 16-18, 2015.

The vision of full youth participation and active engagement in the development of knowledge economies in MENA requires mobilization of resources across sectors, particularly the private sector.  Management educators around the world have long championed the transformative potential of experiential learning for leadership development, and for ensuring alignment between the needs of employers and the capabilities of their graduates. 

Business school deans, directors, and faculty are invited to a one-day summit immediately preceding AUC’s 21st Annual Research Conference to explore opportunities for applying experiential learning approaches to management education in MENA.
